Government Affairs Committee (GAC)

Sun Valley Board of REALTORS Government Affairs Committee, chaired by Matt Gelso and open to all members. This committee meets biweekly to discuss local government affairs related to our market and real estate issues. GAC provides knowledge, information, tools, and resources in a timely manner to both the SV Board of Directors and elected local government officials in an attempt to positively influence public policy decisions related to real property ownership. GAC works to improve the region’s quality of life and thereby maximize the success and profitability of SVBR members. Mission Statement: The Government Affairs Committee advocates for public policies that protect and promote homeownership, private property rights, and the real estate profession at the local, state, and national levels.
MLS Committee

Sun Valley Board of REALTORS® MLS Committee, chaired by Monica Hebert, is responsible for regularly reviewing the MLS Rules and Regulations, as well as SVBOR MLS policies, to ensure they remain current, relevant, and aligned with industry standards. When changes or updates are deemed necessary, the committee drafts proposed amendments and presents them to the SVBOR Board of Directors for review and formal approval.
It is important to note that the MLS Membership Committee does not investigate or review potential violations of MLS rules. Such matters are handled through a separate, confidential process to ensure fairness, integrity, and the protection of all parties involved.
Mission Statement: The MLS Committee upholds data integrity and promotes ethical practices to support our members in delivering exceptional service in a transparent, reliable marketplace.
Bylaws Committee

Sun Valley Board of REALTORS® Bylaws Committee, chaired by Sandra Caulkins, is responsible for implementing any NAR-mandated changes to ensure the Bylaws are accurate and up to date. The committee reviews and evaluates whether the Bylaws effectively reflect the organization's current governance structure and operational practices. It also examines the clarity of the language to identify and address any ambiguity. When amendments are deemed necessary, the committee submits recommendations to the Executive Committee. Any amendments approved by the Executive Committee must be presented to the general membership for final ratification.
Mission Statement: The Bylaws Committee reviews NAR-mandated changes, evaluates governance alignment, and recommends necessary amendments to the Board of Directors to ensure clear, up-to-date Bylaws. Approved changes are presented to the membership for ratification.
Forms Committee

Sun Valley Board of REALTORS® Forms Committee, chaired by Dan Gorham, is responsible for reviewing all locally developed Sun Valley Local forms to ensure they remain clear, current, and legally sound. The committee evaluates member feedback, identifies areas for improvement, and makes formal recommendations for revisions as needed to support efficient and professional real estate transactions.
Mission Statement: The Forms Committee ensures that all local real estate forms are accurate, up to date, and aligned with current laws and industry practices to support smooth, professional transactions for our members and their clients.
YOUR Professional Netork (YPN) Committee

Sun Valley Board of REALOTRS® YPN Committee, chaired by Andrea Brown, aims to foster strong professional relationships, enhance collaboration among colleagues, and create opportunities for personal and career growth. YPN achieves this by organizing engaging networking events, providing educational resources, and encouraging active involvement in association programs and initiatives.

Events Committee

Sun Valley Board of REALTORS® events committee, chaired by Marney Sulivan, supports the Sun Valley Board of REALTORS® (SVBOR) in coordinating with vendors, securing venues, and presenting budget-conscious options for meetings and events. Responsibilities may also include assisting with event promotion, coordinating logistics, and providing recommendations to the Board regarding General Membership Meeting (GMM) topics, speakers, and presentation formats.
Mission Statement: The mission of the Events Committee is to plan, organize, and support meaningful events that foster member engagement, professional development, and community connection.
