Before you become a REALTOR®, you must receive your real estate license. The Sun Valley Board of REALTORS® is not a licensing agency. All real estate licenses are administered by the Idaho Real Estate Commission (IREC).

Steps to Receive your License

Step 1: Complete the required Prelicense Courses from IREC, made up of two modules, each consisting of 45 hours.

Step 2: Take and pass the Idaho state and national portions of the licensing exam

*If you are licensed in another state, you can waive the national portion of the exam

Step 3: Complete a background check and fingerprint requirements

Step 4: Apply to IREC for your license
